If you're in the mood for gelato ice cream maker, these three simple recipes strawberry ice cream can make a nice summer treat. Everyone is different, so that the options depending on the ingredients you have at home.
Recipe # 1 - No Milk STRAWBERRY
2 teaspoons kosher gelatin
1 / 4 cup apple-strawberry juice
2 / 3 cup all-fruit strawberry jam
3 cups vanilla soy milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin overApple juice. Let stand, stirring occasionally, until gelatin is dissolved and softened, about 10 minutes.
2. In a medium saucepan stir jam and 2 cups of soy milk. Bake until very hot, stir, remove from heat. Add soft gelatin to the mixture of hot milk, stirring until gelatin is completely dissolved. Stir in remaining soy milk and vanilla and let cool, cover and refrigerate until well chilled.
3. Spoon chilled mixture into container of an ice machine andFreeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
Makes about 1 liter.
Recipe # 2 - Super STRAWBERRY
1 pt Strawberries
1 c sugar
1 egg
1st half there half
1 t Vanilla
3 c cream
Hull the berries and cut larger ones in half. Place the berries in a bath of water and add 1 / 2 cup of sugar. Heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the fruit is very soft. Puree fruit in a blender. Transfer puree in a bowland cool in refrigerator.
Place the eggs, half and half, remaining sugar and vanilla in a blender and mix is smooth on medium speed until mixture and the sugar is dissolved. Slowly add the cream and continue mixing on low speed for 30 seconds. The mixture to your ice cream freezer and freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
When the ice is about half frozen, add the strawberry puree to the mix. Continue freezing. A little 'moreof 1 liter.
Recipe # 3 - Strawberry Sorbet
You can make extra purée and use them as a sauce for the sorbet. A spring fresh mint is a nice side dish.
2 quarts of strawberries, washed and peeled
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons superfine sugar
1 / 4 cup fresh lemon juice
Puree strawberries in blender. It should be about 3 cups. Stir in 1 cup of simple syrup and lemon juice. Taste and add remaining syrup if necessary. Pour in batterthe bowl of the machine and freeze.
Makes about 3 1 / 2 cups.
